Redcar & Eston School Sport Partnership

Fair Play Awards

Fair Play Awards

The Redcar & Eston School Sport Partnership is promoting ‘sporting spirit’ at ALL of their competitions.

Sporting spirit promotes all aspects of sporting conduct and sportsmanship to help develop personal values and attitudes amongst young people. We want our young people to enjoy the sport or activity with proper consideration for fairness, ethics, respect and a sense of fellowship with one’s competitors. The Redcar and Eston SSP will be promoting the Sainsbury’s School Games initiative ‘Spirit of the Games’ which focus on the following five values; Passion, Honesty, Self-Belief, Determination, Respect and Teamwork.

In partnership with ‘Vision for Education’ supply agency, at some of the partnership competitions we will reward the sporting spirit with prizes for schools that receive our fair play award.

Schools should strive to win these awards as it reflects back on the whole school ethos too. Winning schools can also achieve the fair play award!
